Many businesses have been making the move to online platforms in recent years. Especially this year, moving businesses to an online space has been more important than ever. The COVID-19 global pandemic has led to a need to speed up this process in order to keep business running.

Maybe you’d like to move toward a digital platform, but you’re unsure where to begin and need some education on the subject. Or, maybe you require funding to shift your business into an online space.

This is where Digital Main Street comes in. They have three different programs available to help businesses create and maintain an online presence.

The Programs
  1. Future Proof is a program designed to help educate business owners on digitizing their marketing and business activities, as well as creating and maintaining an online presence. For example, they can help with graphic design, website setup and SEO strategy, as well as content creation.
  2. Ontario Grants funds businesses that are in the process of moving into a digital space. $2500 grants are available to businesses who qualify for this program. Municipalities/communities can also qualify for grants.
  3. shopHERE gets business owners set up with a free Shopify account. This allows companies to sell their wares online through an existing platform, making the transition to online selling quicker and more seamless.

Watch this week’s ‘Teaching Riley’ video for a quick rundown of the programs. Remember to like the video and subscribe to our channel for two new videos each week! We talk about personal finance and tax tips, recent events and important updates for business owners, and more!
